Mold making
This has become a dying art. I never realized how important a mold maker was until I started in this business. Mold making has become less time-consuming through the use of automation and technology. I take pride in saying that many of the molds we make start out with computers that we didn’t use years ago. Yesterday's molds of wood and other composite required days of labor that I can now create in minutes. I now have the ability to mass produce the same basic mold structure over and over by the use of CNC machines and EPS foam. This is just another way to keep the labor costs down while Value- Engineering the project.
